What personal data does CareerCrafty use?
When you sign up/register as a CareerCrafty user, you provide us with your basic information as well as any other data you want to include in your resume, cover letter, and/or online portfolio, as well as any other data that may help CareerCrafty assist you in your job seeking and career development. Furthermore, if you desire to access the CareerCrafty premium features, we may need payment information.

- Operate CareerCrafty and give you the best services mentioned on CareerCrafty, such as verifying your identity when you sign in and auto-filling templates with the information you gave.
- To customize CareerCrafty services and give you a more personalized experience, adverts relating solely to our services and products may appear on CareerCrafty.
- Update you on CareerCrafty operating news and information, such as modifications, upgrades, or security updates.

While ensuring the security of your data, CareerCrafty may link the personal data we have collected about you through multiple channels: the use of our website/apps, newsletter subscription, name, email, city, country, and information using third-party cookies concerning your interests, demographics, and preferences (data from third-party cookies does not contain information about you as an individual, but the overall audience) (e.g.: age group, academic background, job preferences.). The goal is to do broad marketing research, such as customer analysis, customer segmentation, and statistics. In addition, we may utilize the information to evaluate and assess your interests and preferences to personalize your job-seeking/career orientation and website/app experiences, as well as to optimize the service you receive from CareerCrafty.
If you have signed up to receive Newsletters, CareerCrafty will also use your data to tailor the content of the Newsletters to your interests and to give you personalized offerings.
Analyze your profile photo and make recommendations on how to improve it.
CareerCrafty may use third-party service providers to store, access, and process your personal information. If such third-party service providers receive and control your data outside of the EU, such personal data transfer will be governed by the European Commission’s standard contractual terms. When using our services within the EU, we try to minimize data transfer outside the EU as much as possible. For example, we try to use as much cloud infrastructure within the EU as possible, but some emails, payments processes, and so on may also be conducted by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
If you use CareerCrafty services outside of the EU-US or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, we may temporarily store your data and deliver content and services that support CareerCrafty through cloud servers located outside the EU/EEA or the US, with your explicit and separate consent from this privacy policy.
How long does CareerCrafty keep your data?
The data and information that identify you as an individual will be stored on our systems for as long as they are required, but no more than 6 years after your last use of CareerCrafty. For example, you may want to Sign In to your account after a few months or years to update your job application when seeking new employment.
What authorizes CareerCrafty to process the data as a data controller?
CareerCrafty has the following lawful bases to process personal data:
Execution of the agreement
The legal basis for processing the gathered personal data of the interested party is the implementation of the service agreement. In this regard, the interested party is required to submit the data required for its execution. Our services cannot be given unless we have this information.
Legal obligations
The distribution of feedback surveys about the services, the results of which will be used to learn about the opinions of users and how the services can be improved.
Consent
In regard to the following purposes, the legal basis for processing the interested party’s personal data will be the consent of the same, if given:
- Management of online registration.
- Management of CareerCrafty app registration.
- Management of CareerCrafty service registration.
- To react to the interested party’s exercise of rights, questions, and complaints.
The withdrawal of permission for said processing by the interested party may have an impact on the execution of the service agreement.
Legitimate interest
The legal basis for the processing of the interested party’s personal data for the following purposes will be CareerCrafty’s legitimate interest.
- Profile creation, as explained in Section 2.
- The distribution of feedback questionnaires on services utilized in order to learn about their opinions and improve them.

Cookies, Pixels, Conversion Tracking

A Pixel Tag is an electronic image, usually a single pixel (11) that is not visible to Site users and may be associated with Cookies on their hard drives. Pixel Tags enable us to count people who have visited specific pages of the Site, deliver branded services, and assess the performance of promotional or advertising initiatives. Pixel Tags, when used in HTML-formatted email messages, can inform the sender whether and when the email has been opened.

According to the Danish “Act on Processing of Personal Data,” on the protection of individuals concerning the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, as amended and supplemented, CareerCrafty is required to manage the personal data you provide about yourself safely and only for specified purposes.
As stated previously in this Privacy Policy, CareerCrafty will always strive to protect your Personal Data; however, if you choose to share your professional documents through our sharing option (this includes sharing the link to your digital application or by sharing your documents for receiving feedback) on 3rd party software, websites/apps, or services, you do so with your consent and at your own risk, acknowledging that CareerCrafty cannot be held liable.
You are also responsible for the safety and security of your information. You are responsible for keeping the password and the material in your email inbox secure if we have provided you (or you have selected) a password or access through a unique link on your email address for access to certain portions of CareerCrafty. We ask that you not disclose your password, the unique information in your email account, or the login link to anybody. We strongly advise you to exercise caution while disclosing personal information in public parts of CareerCrafty, such as message/comment boards.

By utilizing our services, users understand and agree that CareerCrafty will not be held liable for any illegal or improper use by third-party service providers (e.g. cookie high jacking).

YOUR RIGHTS AND HOW TO WITHDRAW CONSENT AND UNSUBSCRIBE
